"The internet is OBSESSED with the #60SecondRule." Cosmo Magazine's words! Not mine. The 60 Second Rule is an original skincare tip I developed to help clients get the most out of their expensive cleansers. Cleansing your face (with your fingers) for 60 seconds allows the ingredients in the cleanser to actually work.

Mexico City is a city that inspires a lot of walking. If the shoes you're thinking of packing aren't super comfortable all day, put them back in the closet, not in your suitcase. I can walk all day in my Rothy’s, and they are my favorite shoes for trekking around a city. I have Marigold round toe Rothy’s, but I’m looking at these as my next pair. Oh, and if you’re not already using Ebates/Rakuten, use my affiliate link to sign up and get 5% of your Rothy’s AND $10 back after your first purchase.

Compression Socks. I recently started using compression socks. My feet always swell on flights, but not that much, and it usually goes down quickly, so I hadn’t tried compression socks. As I get older though, I want to take better care of myself. This could be my mind playing games on me, but on the only flight I didn’t wear compression socks on in the past two months, my right ankle felt funky for about 12 hours after the flight. I won’t make that mistake again.

Kindle Unlimited is one of the things I couldn’t live without while I traveled. I could read books without carrying a ton of weight around, and I was able to read so many books that the price of membership was totally worth it. Check it out here.

Reading Deep Work, by Cal Newport, is the best thing I did for my productivity in the last few years. It’s a great read that talks about the importance of single tasking while doing your important work. Now, we’ve all heard that multi-tasking isn’t as efficient as we were originally told, but this book really helped me key in on why I need to close all other browser windows, put my phone in another room, and turn off the TV. This is definitely the most influential book I’ve read in the last 3 months.
